Ana Cristina Lopes
Ana Cristina has been a student of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche since 2001. She is based in San Francisco, where she works for 84000 as a translator and researcher and also collaborates with Siddhartha’s Intent Brazil to translate Rinpoche’s books and other works into Portuguese. Ana Cristina received her PhD in cultural anthropology from the University of Sao Paulo and her MA in Buddhist Studies from Columbia University. She has held teaching positions at the University of Virginia and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Recently, she has also taught courses at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Germany-Austria and Stanford University. She is the author of Tibetan Buddhism in Diaspora: Cultural re-signification in practice and institutions (Routledge, 2015).
